Meliza,

Can you give me any tips on making a remix of different songs and the best way to do so or piecing together?

I loved Lotus' at Tribal Fest! You Rocked!

I’m a total amateur at doing music. I started cutting music up because we don’t always want to dance to the full song and like to have a clear beginning and ending. We used to just fade everything out but that gets old.

To edit, cross fade, shorten etc. I used Peak on my Mac. I used to have a PC and used a few different programs but I think that Peak is the easiest by far.

Anything we use that is remixed like the Missy/Justin song we danced to comes that way. I juste cut out the vocals. And when we had our voices over the music at Tribal Fest we did it in a studio.

Each section talking, sound effects between songs or music was a different track on the final CD. I only combine them if I'm crossfading. I think we had 16 tracks for our 20 minute perfomance.

    Hope that helps!
